James stamped out his cigarette and unlatched the wrought iron gate. He made his way up a flower lined path to Michael and Lena’s posh brownstone in Upper East-side Manhattan.
He didn’t hesitate when he reached the door but didn’t have to. Before he could push the bell, Lena was standing in the archway to greet him.
“What do you want?” she asked.
